Each year, the Miami Dade Law Library struggles with budget cuts, governmental nonsense and politics to keep their doors open. The law library provides invaluable access to legal reference materials to lawyers and litigants alike. Access to information of this type increases access and understanding of the judicial system. Last night, the hard working staff and supporters of the law library held a fundraising event with a goal toward raising sufficient funds to keep the library’s doors open. The event was a “Disco” themed celebration of the library’s existence and service to our community. The Law Office of Robert N. Pelier, P.A. & Billbrough & Marks, P.A. joined forces to donate the wine and champagne served throughout the evening’s reception and program as they have done so in years past; emphasizing their deep commitment to this cause. “A genuine commitment by all in the community; including lawyers and judges is necessary to ensure that a world class city strives for world class access to our Court system” “Although the turnout was noteworthy, more help and support is needed” Pelier said.
